Dr. William Kiema Sammy holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Trade Law from the University of Cape Town and a Doctorate in Air Law from the University of Cape Town.  William has consulted for leading African law firms on various aspects of aviation law and trained top government officials and representatives from civil aviation authorities on diverse aspects on aviation law and policy. William is an occasional guest lecturer at the University of Cape Town, where he is invited to teach on law and policy of air transport in Africa and has in the past appeared as a guest lecture at Harvard Law School where he has taught aviation law and policy to postgraduate students. William is currently working on a book titled “The Air Transport Industry in Africa: A Legal Analysis of the Single African Air Transport Market” to be published in 2025 as part of the Taylor & Francis Group series, Routledge Research in Air and Space Law. William is also currently working on a book project titled “The Political Economy of Space Law and Policy in Africa” to be published in 2025.
